Laura has experience in all film and digital formats, shooting live action drama, animation, commercials, promos and documentaries. Her work has taken her around the globe from the Kansas prairies to the uninhabitable Exclusion Zone of Chernobyl.
She is a graduate from the National Film and Television School where she studied under the guidance of renowned cinematographers such as Brian Tufano BSC, Sean Bobbit BSC and Billy Williams BSC. During her masters Laura was awarded a scholarship from the De Mouilpied Foundation which supports female filmmakers as well as a grant from the Womens’ Careers Foundation. Her work while at the NFTS garnered several awards, most notably “Rox” for Levis Jeans which picked up Best in Brief Award and 2nd place for Overall Commercial at the 2008 Kodak Commercial Awards.
Her graduation film was nominated for Best Animation at BAFTA Scotland 2008, and was seen at Edinburgh, Los Angeles and Hiroshima international film festivals among many others. Since graduating her work has been seen, inter alia, on Channel 4 as part of the First Cut Scheme, BBC4, and continues to be screened in festivals around the world. In 2010 she was selected to attend the Berlin Talent Campus.

Prior to the NFTS Laura attended the European Film College in Denmark. She has a BA in English Literature from York University, motivating her with a passion for building rich narratives and capturing personal stories, she loves films that are relevant and thought provoking in both content and style.
Laura is based in London but works everywhere.
